Executive Director

Executive Director for a non-profit human service organization helping people to reach self-sustainability in Indiana County, Pennsylvania. This individual serves as chief administrative officer of an agency with a $3 million annual budget that encompasses programs in housing, energy, case management, nutrition assistance, weatherization and others. Candidates must possess the minimum requirements of a bachelor’s degree and/or six years related experience in business or human services; five years of experience with progressive levels of responsibility; and three years of experience in leadership and management as they relate to non-profit organizations. Preferred qualifications include experienced leader with the ability to supervise and manage complex projects effectively; evidence of working well with board, staff and community leaders; experience with labor relations and human resources; strong communication skills to focus an entire agency on its mission; operational management skills to oversee agency’s fiscal affairs; experience in obtaining federal, state, and local funds or improving revenue streams; and use of Microsoft Office programs. Weatherization Insulation Worker

Requires carpentry and technical skills, capability and willingness to perform physical labor and familiarity with Indiana County. Ability to work as part of a team and without constant supervision. Areas of Responsibility:

  1. Responsible for completion of weatherization work plans as per estimate and contract.
  2. Responsible for maintenance of quality workmanship on assigned tasks.
  3. Responsible for assisting supervisor with audits as requested.

Specific Duties:

  1. Participate in on-site completion of jobs, as assigned, to include carpentry.
  2. Maintain assigned tools and equipment.
  3. Assure proper use and installation of measures and materials.
  4. Complete required paperwork as assigned.
  5. Maintain a safe and orderly work environment at all times.
  6. Other duties as assigned.

Screening Criteria:

  1. Possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver's license, reliable transportation, and be willing to travel extensively in Indiana and other counties if required.
  2. Demonstrated carpentry and technical skills.
  3. Ability to work as part of a team.
  4. Ability to work quickly, without constant supervision.
  5. Demonstrated capability and willingness to perform daily physical labor.
  6. Must be willing to participate in any utility specific employee screening check. These checks may include, but are not limited to, background check, criminal check, drug testing.
  7. Must have basic computer skills as well as be able to work with various software programs including use of the internet.  Must be willing to learn new software programs.
  8. Must have vehicle insurance to comply with agency standards of coverage.
  9. Must have or being will to obtain Motor Vehicle Report and Act 33 & 34 clearance.
